Quite possibly the most unsettling week we have had from a referendum result in Britain. Slumped economic shares, an internal Labour coup, to a most discouraging fact that a political decision has unleashed an onslaught of xenophobia and racism with a projected unsettling economy to follow suit.
I have unfortunately been one, amongst many who have been affected by those preying for targets to intimidate. Even heard BBC presenter Sima Kotecha say she was called a ‘paki’ for the first time since 1980s in her home town of Basingstoke. From these incidents my reflective fasting mood flowed out the words below. As always, I pray for peaceful, cohesive community engagement and full faith in our government to get it together in order to make the best decisions on behalf of British people.
