Bonjour! Time has been running away from me lately, so much so that I have not even managed to get a winter coat yet! Between Boxing day sales and New Year snow warning it seems better now than ever to get a warm snuggler.
Personally, I have been wanting a deep camel toned coat but have not been able to find ‘the one’ yet. Nonetheless, below is a selection of some of the various lovely winter warmer’s available from the High Street this season.
Pixi Contrast Coat
Miss Selfridges contrasting pixie coat is a fun contemporary 60’s inspired coat. Currently on sale for £40 at Miss Selfridges.
Zara is a great one stop shop for those of you needing a smart work coat. This Studio coat is an understated, crisp collarless cut coat that would make an apt classic outerwear.
A cape coat wont keep you super warm alone, but it is the perfect outerwear to wear on top of your thick winter jumpers.
Capes are great for layering your winter look, it also gives breathability for those not so chilly winter days.
This classic tartan design cape is available from Oasis stores.
Fur (fake I add) coats have made a come back this winter 2011. Fur is not my favourite outfit piece , it is somewhat linked to a hideous grey one brought for me to wear one winter! But this hip length, fur collar coat from Dorothy Perkins is a noteworthy lush combo.
This sequinned coat from Zara is perfect to slip over your evening outfit. The dark grey colour makes it wearable and handy to pull over your daywear clothes for that instant x factor when transitioning between your day to evening event on the go, and a sure classic for your wardrobe.
Have you ladies found a winter warmer… let me know if its camel-toned?! Ok, now its just those snow boots…
